Have you ever been to a Safari? Embark on a fascinating journey through eastern Africa, this Safari will bring you the highlights of Kenya and Tanzania closer. From Nairobi you arrive at the bottom of Kilimanjaro, on Lake Manyara, in the Ngorongoro Crater in the Serengeti, the unique Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday): Nairobi: Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport, transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. One night at Southern Sun Mayfair (4 stars). Approximately 20 km (dinner)

Day 2 (Sunday): Nairobi – Amboseli National Park: Transfer by minibus to Amboseli National Park, which offers a magnificent view of Kilimanjaro. On the way to your lodge, watch the first animals on your journey. The park is especially well-known because many elephants and their entire family travel across the wide plains. On the way you have the opportunity to observe these, but also other animals such as zebras, buffaloes, giraffes and birds. Arrival at your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take an extensive game drive. One night in the Ol Tukai Lodge. 4 stars. Approximately 350 km (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 3 (Monday): Amboseli National Park – Arusha – Lake Manyara: Today you will travel to Tanzania via Namanga. There you change the minibus against a 4×4 vehicle and are driven to Arusha, the capital of the same region. In a restaurant, you can enjoy your lunch. Continue to Lake Manyara National Park, which is two-thirds of Lake Manyara and is known for its large population of flamingos. After a game drive, you check in to your lodge. One night in Lake Manyara Serena Lodge (4 stars). Approximately 180 km (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 4 (Tuesday): Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater: After breakfast drive to the Ngorongoro area. At lunchtime, you will reach your present lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive to the well-known Ngorongoro Crater, which has belonged to the Serengeti Nationalpark since 1951. Here is the highest predator density in Africa. The crater is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered a biosphere reserve. Overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (4 stars). Approximately 180 km (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 5 (Wednesday): Ngorongoro / Serengeti: Continue to the famous Serengeti National Park. For lunch, you will arrive at your lodge. In the afternoon, the next game drive awaits you. Three nights at the Serengeti Serena Lodge (3 stars). Approximately 320 km (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

6 + 7. Day (Thursday-Friday): Serengeti: Pure wilderness! The Serengeti is one of Africa’s most complex and least disturbed ecosystems, moving from a dusty summer drought to a green winter and lush spring. At the center is the savannah with scattered acacias. Enjoy the two days during game drives in the morning and afternoon. Lunch is served at Serengeti Serena Lodge. The location, a hill in the central Serengeti, offers a wonderful view of the “vast land”, a grassy plain where wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles graze. With a little luck, you will also see lions, cheetahs and hyenas. In rivers, you will discover crocodiles and in the sky a multitude of birds. (Breakfast Lunch Dinner)

8th day (Saturday): Serengeti – Masai Mara: Today you fly by plane to the famous Masai Mara back to Kenya. From the plane you have beautiful views of this area. The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most animal-rich reservation. The name derives from the Masai tribe living here. On the other hand, “Mara” means speckled and describes the view of the landscape from a bird’s eye view. They land at the Mara Serena airfield. Then a short transfer to your accommodation. In the late afternoon, join a game drive. Two nights at the Mara Serena Lodge (4 stars). (Breakfast Lunch Dinner)

Day 9 (Sunday): Masai Mara: The whole day is dedicated to the beauty of the vast Masai Mara today. You undertake two game drives. Lunch is taken at the lodge. The Masai Mara is referred to as the largest animal show on earth. You can see lion, leopard, cheetah, gazelle, giraffe, antelope and wildebeest on the extensive grasslands of the savannah. But also hippos and crocodiles can be found in the waters. (Breakfast Lunch Dinner)

Day 10 (Monday): Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru: After breakfast, we will go on a game drive on our way to Lake Nakuru, the first bird sanctuary in Africa. Over 450 species of birds live here. The up to four meters deep, no-drain lake is one of the alkaline soda lakes. After lunch, another game drive follows. On the shores of the lake is a rich animal kingdom home. Among other rhinos, giraffes and various antelope species live here. At the lake grow about 550 different plant species. Overnight in the Nakuru Sopa Lodge (4 stars), which is elevated and offers fantastic views of the countryside and Lake Nakuru. Approximately 260 km (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Day 11 (Tuesday): Lake Nakuru – Nairobi: After an early last game drive and breakfast at the lodge, drive back to Nairobi. Lunch is served in the Carnivore Restaurant, which is located in the city. End of the round trip. Approximately 160 km (breakfast, lunch) When booking the round trip including transfers and day rooms, transfer after lunch to the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi (4 stars). Here is a dayroom available. In the late afternoon transfer to the international airport.
