Two Castles, a bit(e) of Dracula, one day trip
Many of us have dreamed about visiting the legendary Dracula’s castle, but what if we tell you that you can have all the castle to yourself? If you do have the courage to experience a private tour of Dracula’s castle, to have a memorable dinner, a private party or even to spend a night that you will never forget, you should definitely visit Romania.
This trip would probably give you the best quick look about some of the most well-known Romanian treasures – Peles Castle and Bran Castle – in only one full day trip.
Peles Castle – is a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia (1h30 min drive North from Bucharest), on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia, built between 1873 and 1914. It was open in 1883 for King Carol I of Romania and it was the world’s first castle fully powered by its own electricity source.
Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) – is a Medieval Castle, build gradually between 1205-1448, situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as “Dracula’s Castle” it is often erroneously referred to as the home of the title character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
